  • 500g microwave rice
  • 2/3 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar
  • 1+1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 avocados
  • 1 cucumber, peeled and sliced
  • 1+1/2 cup surimi, sliced
  • 12 Boston lettuce leaves, rinse and dry
  • 6 tablespoons grated mustard peas (optional)

Method of making California salad

1. Heat the rice in the microwave for 90 seconds. Then put the rice in a medium-sized bowl, add vinegar, sugar and salt, stir, and marinate for 10 minutes.

2. Cut an avocado in half and then cut into small pieces. Cut another avocado into 12 pieces and set aside.

3. Put avocado pieces, cucumber slices and surimi into the rice, stir well.

4. Put 2 lettuce leaves on the chopping board, covered with 1 cup of rice mixture, make 6 servings in the same way. Garnish 2 slices of avocado and 1 tablespoon of grated mustard peas in each salad dish.
