How to make avocado puree for babies

Avocado is rich in brain-boosting Omega-3 fatty acids, has a mild taste and velvety texture, which many babies like. Follow our simple step-by-step instructions and you can make nutritious guacamole for your baby step by step.

Step 1: Choose and buy avocado

Avocado rich in omega-3 is a representative food for infants. Avocado is also called avocado. It has a buttery and creamy texture and is easily crushed by babies' gums and gums. They have a mild taste and do not have that thin fruit pulp, so they will not choke the baby. Pediatricians usually recommend feeding green vegetables before feeding sweeter yellow vegetables to babies. The theoretical basis is that if babies eat very sweet foods, they will be reluctant to eat lighter-tasting foods. Then the nutrient content of avocado reaches the standard of green vegetable, even if it is a kind of fruit in theory. The best time to eat avocados in China is in June. Imported avocados are sold in grocery stores throughout the year.

Here is a tip for selecting avocado for everyone. From the outside, the color of avocados can change from green to dark purple, but don't buy the ripe avocados with black skin, because the flesh is rotten. Then press or pinch the fruit to judge the maturity of the avocado. If it is hard to pinch, it means it is not mature yet. You can buy it and store it in a cool place for a few days before eating. If the hardness is moderate, you can press it slightly, which is the best eating state. An avocado can make about 170 grams to 227 grams of pulp.

Step 2: Wash the avocado, remove the pit, and slice it

Cut the avocado longitudinally and remove the core in the middle. Peel the two halves of the avocado or scoop out the pulp with a spoon.

Step 3: Crush the avocado

Use a grinder to mash the pulp into a muddy shape, and add an appropriate amount of cold water (warm water can be added in winter). If you want to make dairy products, you can use breast milk or formula milk instead of water, so the guacamole is more nutritious.

For babies 10 months and older, you can mash the avocado with a fork and feed it directly with a slightly larger piece of pulp. This is a good food for teething.

Step 4: Feed avocado puree

Avocado is a classic, one of the baby’s newest food supplements. It can be eaten alone or combined with sweet bananas to make a fluffy jam rich in omega-3 and potassium. Try to consume the guacamole all at once because it is not suitable for refrigeration. If they must be refrigerated, seal them in an airtight container.
