Carrots are a very versatile vegetable. When you start feeding your baby with complementary foods, you can mix carrots with various fruits, vegetables and meats to make a very rich pairing. A medium-sized carrot can make about 85 grams of carrot puree.
Wash the carrots in cold water, peel them, and remove the green leaves of the carrot heads. Cut the carrots into small pieces.
Pour water into the pot and bring it to a boil. Add the sliced carrots and cook for about 10-15 minutes until the carrots are cooked through. Remove the carrots and let cool, or rinse them in cold water for 3 minutes.
Mash the cooked carrot pieces with a grinder. Appropriate amount of cold water can be added (warm water can be added in winter). If your baby is about 10 months old, you can cut the cooked carrots into small pieces and feed them directly as teething food.
